“ What are the drop out rates for the General Management Scheme? ”

to NHS Recruitment Team

Also do you have any statistics on the number of alumni that have eventually obtained a position as a director?

The drop out rates for the general scheme are very low/non-existent. I can’t recall anyone dropping out of that stream in the past few years.

Tracking alumni is more difficult because of the way the NHS is set up & we can’t provide accurate figures. However we can tell you 4/5 last CEO for the NHS came from our scheme & a quick glance at Twitter shows many trainees in senior roles across the NHS. The majority of trainees leave the scheme to move into a band 7/8a role positioning them to move to become a director. In addition we are about to launch a high potential scheme in the NHS which will look to fast track people into director level roles & the scheme will play an important part in filling that pipeline of talent.

Thanks for the reply! That's very helpful.
