“ Can you please tell us more about how the trainee are allocated into the different trusts? ”

Marwa E. asked a question in topic General
to Huw E. Regional Analyst, Monitor

Dear Huw;
Like you I do have young family, and I am welling and happy to travel but to an extent, so was wondering how and where they allocate the the trainee?

best if we answer this as trainees won't necessarily know the full answer to this one.

As a team we choose the top performing candidates and than allocate them across the country into the 10 different regions. Each region has a local graduate lead who with the assistance of a management panel & us will assess all of the bids made for a trainee by NHS organisations within their region. There will always be far more bids than trainees!

We decide which of the bids are best for the trainees e.g. support offered during the placement, the actual work/project they'll undertake, how stable the organisation is, etc.

We then allocate the best placements to the trainees.
